What are Human-Interest Narratives?
A Type of Soft news Reporting that focuses on the experience of ordinary people in the presentation of an event, issue, or problem highlighting these key elements: Human interest narratives spur calls for collective action and appeal to public authorities to take responsibility. The Scoop Storytelling Initiative is putting a human face to social concerns to captivate, engage the audience and influence public opinion to have a healthy democracy and thriving community.
