Who We Are & What We Do

A SOCIAL JUSTICE OPTIC ON A WORLD YEARNING FOR CHANGE
The Scoop Storytelling Initiative is a unique, African digital news and storytelling brand dedicated to human rights, holding power to account, and amplifying the voices of marginalized communities seeking to make their stories seen and heard.
We publish video and text content on YouTube, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and Facebook as well as on our website reaching a combined audience.

The Scoop was formally launched in 2020 as a TV Programme on Viewer Television. However, it was instituted to reach a millennial audience via social media platforms. Through our nonprofit journalism endeavour, we believe that giving social concerns to the human face elicits a potent emotional response that improves learning and spurs response from the audience.
We have worked with reputable humanitarian Organizations and Individuals to Improve the well-being of people. We are optimistic, positive and confident that the human community acting together can rise to all of the problems we face and journalism is one of the best ways to champion that.
