16 years old Sudat Temioluwa is among the students who were instructed about consent.
The session started with her talking about what she knows about consent.
“Consent means when someone is trying to touch you or have sexual relations with you without your permission,” she says.

Gift Obot 18, is also excited about the initiative, she says it helped her understand gender-based violence better.

Crowded, the students of oyelwole state high school Lagos listened keenly to the instructions and illustrations about sexual consent.

The Programme is coming at a time the world marks 16 Days of Activism against Gender-Based Violence. Put together by the Achiever’s Foundation, The Founder Mariam Adeola Saliu an Ahmadu Bello University student says she also used the opportunity to launch the pad a girl Campaign.

“I decided to launch this campaign because of the story I heard about girls using leaves for their menstrual cycle, particularly in the north,” she said.

“Every girl should be entitled to a free pad and the Government must be a part of this” she added.

The girls smiled while they received a pair of pads.
